We would like to begin a conversation about how group work is an integral component to the success of these goals outlined below in the The Global Agenda for Social Work and Social Development: Commitment to Action (adopted by the IFSW, IASWG & ICSW and presented to the United Nations in March, 2012). We ask that you read it and then reflect on it based on the questions posted below. Your responses are welcome!

How does this vision presented in the Global Agenda relate with that of IASWG and our current global mission?
After reading the section on our role in promoting social and economic equalities, what relationship do we at IASWG currently need to have with these international agencies?
After reading the section on our role in ensuring the dignity and worth of the person, how do we at IASWG relate with international conflict as an organization? What role or particular area could we be a resource to provide intervention?
After reading the section on our role in promoting sustainable communities and environmentally sensitive development, what is unique about IASWG in this area of creating sustainable communities? What specific ways do we work and assist individuals and groups that translates into community sustainability on a global level?
After reading the section on our role in promoting wellbeing through sustainable human relationships, what is a sustainable human relationship if we ask this through a social group work perspective? What is our organizational mandate in this area?
After reading the section on our role in ensuring an appropriate environment for practice and education, what specific education and research initiatives could we develop as an organization to aid in this effort?
